Denise Hill Leads the Way in July with $3,212 in Sales!
As mentioned previously, the summer months are the slowest months of the year in the direct sales industry. Even so, Denise Hill managed to cobble together $3,212 in sales. Half of her sales total came from one party that weighed in at $1,608!
By maintaining production during the summer months, Denise is setting herself up to have a strong Q-4, which are the hottest months of the year in the e-commerce industry. Indeed, the reason Black Friday is called Black Friday is because that's when many companies go from being in the red, to being in the black.
Denise had five parties scheduled for July, but three of them cancelled. Even though she's been leading the field in 2021, she still has cancellations like everyone else. In fact, I would bet that she has more than anyone else! That's because when you swing more, you also miss more. But you also get more home runs too! The cancellation lesson is clear though. What looks like a solid calendar can quickly change...
which is why overbooking is the best calendar insurance policy.
In science, there's something called pattern recognition. It's a sign of intelligence. Denise sees a pattern in the parties that have been cancelling on her. The hostesses are not on Facebook! That prevents her from setting up a Facebook event page for their party, which is an easy way to let 100's of people know about it. When the hostess tells 100's of people that she is doing something, the likelihood of
her doing it goes up dramatically. They've advertised to too many people not to follow through. So, there's a lesson and a tip here as well. Learn how to set up Facebook event pages for your parties. Those parties will be far more likely to hold because the hostess has told so many people about it.
Winston Churchill famously said, "Successful people have the ability to go from failure to failure without the loss of enthusiasm." That definitely captures Denise to a tee, which is exactly why she continues to make money with her business no matter what time of the year it is. She just shakes off the cancellations and hardheaded hostesses that bring others down, recognizes the patterns... and keeps it moving.

Donna Houston is July's Runner Up with $1,781 in Sales!
Donna Houston was also active in cyber space in July... holding two Zoom parties that brought in $1,781 in sales.
Part of Donna's secret sauce has been working her business daily in some way or the other. She does a lot of other things, so don't think she has any more time than anyone else. She doesn't. But she does set aside time for her business. The results have been evident ever since she started in February.
For example, we recently announced an initiative that will give anyone, who really wants to succeed, the system to do it. It's called Pray With Your Legs, which is based on the famous Frederick Douglass quote. It involves sending three emails a day and making three calls a day. Whether you call it that, or something else, it's very simple. You take action. And it's
biblical too. The Apostle Paul himself said, "faith without works is dead". So yeah... there ain't no mystery to this business. It's very simple. Like Frederick Douglass, you've got to pray with your legs.
So, true to form, Donna added praying with her legs to her daily routine. Soon after starting, she connected with a customer that was very excited about the August specials. In fact, she was so excited that she wanted to host a party too quickly... on August 21st. But Donna, was just going to be coming back into town that day. She convinced the customer to pump her brakes and go with August
29th. So, as you can see, prayers with your legs are the prayers that move the furniture around up in heaven and get answered!

Give the Rookie a Cookie! Latrelle Nicholson is Third in July with $1,548 in Sales!
Yowser! Latrelle Nicholson, a newbie from Philadelphia, came in at number three in July with $1,548 in sales. Latrelle did three parties in the month with the biggest one weighing in at $1,032 in sales. That's what we call a Champagne Show! So hold your hands up, tip your glass up, and sing... this is how we do it!
As we said previously, Latrelle is a newbie. She had her Launch Party in early June and conducted her first party on June 29th. In addition to doing a Champagne Show (the first of many we predict), Latrelle also qualified for the Let's Get Busy Award... clearing $1,500 in her first 30 days.

Be careful not to reveal future monthly specials until you've filled your calendar for months that are closer in. Parties that are booked too far in the future are less likely to hold. By the time you're finally ready to begin party prep, they'll have forgotten about it, or will no longer be excited.
Computer System Stuff
(New!) The Website Will Be Upgraded Very Soon
A website upgrade is being done to create a more aesthetically pleasing, upscale look. When you look at the various collections, the thumbnails will all be the same size. And the image on product pages will be very large for more visual impact.
The new website will go live by the end of August. When it does, you may notice that some of the images are so large they are a bit blurred. Bear with this while I rework those images.
Check the SKU's that Hostesses Give You for Items with Multiple Sizes
Your host can easily make a mistake when selecting reward items with multiple sizes like clothing and canvases. The mistake is to go by the first SKU they see. If they do, you could be ordering the wrong item for them.
For example, if they want a large Rosa Parks t-shirt, the first size showing on the webpage is the SM, and the SKU that will also be showing on the page is for the SM size. They would need to select the LG size and see what SKU is showing on the page for it. Hosts are unlikely to remember this when you tell them, so you should doublecheck all of their selections that come in multiple sizes.
