She's Baaaaaack! Donna Houston Leads the Field In April with $6,545 in Sales!
Donna Houston, who started her business in February with a field leading $6,500 month, was back in April with more of the same.
She rang up a scintillating $6,545 in sales in just 8 shows, which means she averaged $818 per party in April. The biggest party tipped the scales at over $1,700. Yowser!
Since starting on February 6th, Donna has put up almost $17,500 in sales. That's an average of $5,833 per month. To be able to do all that while sitting at your dining room table is amazing.
Donna isn't lucky. Nor has she been touched by the gods. Nor has she discovered some arcane secret. Her secret is that she simply works her business like a business. When you do that, your hostesses and customers treat you differently. They take you seriously.
Donna also has the same challenging hostesses that everyone else has. But there are two things that help her overcome them.
One, she overbooks her calendar. For example, she had 10 parties scheduled for April... and even though 2 canceled or had to be moved, she still had 8 parties left.
And two, because her calendar is strong, she can coach her hostesses from a position of strength. She doesn't need any given party to float her boat. So, she can ask her hostesses to take their parties as seriously as she takes them... and hold their fat feet to the hot flames of accountability.
Donna raced through all of the newcomer honors in just three months. So there's no telling what this wonder woman will be doing as the year unfolds. But our prediction is that she will be "throwing down" with regularity! Let's all congratulate her with the shout out, "You go girl! You are just doing the dang thang!"
Denise Hill Dazzles In April! She Puts Up Another 6-K Month with $6,374 in Sales!
Denise Hill, who has been on a roll all year, continued to roll in April with another month over 6-K. She Zoomed to $6,374 in sales by doing 7 parties... which equates to a party average of $911.
As has been mentioned previously, Denise got off to a slow start and then started percolating like a coffee machine. Last November, she soared over the $7,000 in sales mark. And, over the last 6 months, she has put up a total of $26,423 in sales... all from her dining room table. Dang!
It's likely that without Zoom parties, Denise wouldn't even be able to do the business. Reason being, she travels every weekend to her parents home to help with caring for them. But with Zoom parties, she's on pace to qualify as a Master EE Consultant in 2021 with over 50-K in sales. How cool is that?
Denise believes in letting her profits run, which is to say that she doesn't rush to close out her parties in a few days. She encourages the hostess to continue garnering orders and building their sales total. That, and a party that weighed in at a whopping $1,974 in sales, is probably the reason Denise averaged over $900 per party in April.
In the old days, folks would have been happy to average $900 per show after putting 5 or 6 hours into it, plus driving time. Now, you've got folks throwing down like that while sitting down at their laptop for an hour. Technology has definitely been a game changer!
Let's all congratulate Denise for another great month... and for not just talking about it, but for being about it.
Consultant On the Come Up: Carol Manigault of Maryland
Carol Manigault, of Maryland, began to flex her EE muscles in the month of April. At $3,925, Carol's month was just shy of 4-K.
Pindar, the Greek poet of antiquity, wrote "Unsung, the noblest deed will die." Carol is a former educator who understands the importance of educating Black people on from whence they came, what they've done and who they are. If no one tells them, how are they to know? So she carries that special combination of mission and teaching ability to the business.
The results speak for themselves... and speak loudly. Since getting started at the end of February, Carol has hit her Let's Get Busy and Let's Stay Busy Awards with a month to spare.
Carol has several tips to pass on to other consultants who want to make things happen. She says, "I establish partnerships with my hosts. I want my hosts and guests to be blessed by the experience. I feel that if my hosts are blessed to get what they want for free or at a deep discount, I'm blessed as well. Specifically, I sent a "You still have time to support me" text to a host whose party sales were lower
than expected. I encouraged her to send it to her guests and it resulted in an additional $400 in sales. Needless to say, she was very happy about that. I know EE is providing a service by bringing wonderful products that embrace our culture to our community. And I know it's a great and fun way to increase one's income."
Those are all pearls of wisdom. Congrats to Carol Manigault for letting us all know that Maryland is in da' house!

Frequent Hostess Program
A special program has been created for repeat hostesses. Frequent hostesses can pick a print or tapestry from a special selection of art at a deeply discounted price. Here's the criteria for them being able to do so;
- Their party must be at least $500 in retail sales.
- Their party must have at least one booking.
- Their parties must be at least 4 months apart, and not more than 12 months apart.
To see what's in the art selection and the special pricing, refer to the Frequent Hostess Brochure. You can access it by clicking on the link below...
Or, you can get there by going to the Getting Started Tools and Business Aids page and scrolling down. See link below...
Eight New Teasers Texts are Now Available
There are eight new teaser texts with updated products that are now available.
To see and download all of them to your phone, go to the Getting Started Tools and Business Aids page and scroll down until you see them.
(The old teasers are still there as well, so there are now 15.)
Computer System Stuff
Product SKU's are Now on the Product Pages (NEW)
Product SKU"s are now showing on all product pages. They are located beneath the price. This means the Product SKU Listing is no longer necessary. All you have to do is instruct your hostesses to provide you with their SKU numbers when they are letting you know what they want. It will save the time and aggravation of looking them up.
Hostess Shipping Address
To make sure your hostess orders ship to the correct address, always enter their shipping address, and not just their billing address, before starting their order. To do that;
- Go to Hostess Manager which is under the Parties menu.
- Find their name and click the circle next to it.
- Click edit.
- Enter their shipping address.
Make Sure Your Hostess' Selections are In Stock
Currently, the enterprise system and Shopify don't communicate on stock levels. This means it's possible to enter a hostess order for something that's out of stock. If that happens, nothing on the hostess order ships.
To avoid this, have your hostess check availability on the website before she lets you know what she wants. Then double check yourself before entering the order.
Strive for Accuracy When You or Your Hostess Enter Email Addresses in the Party Portal
Imagine having a great customer that loves the product, but their email address is in your database incorrectly. Strive for accuracy if you're entering email addresses, and stress accuracy if your hostess is.
A good way to do it is for the hostess to copy and paste email addresses from their email service address book. Then you (or the hostess) can copy and paste them into the Party invite list.
Commission Is Paid Once a Month on the 10th of the Following Month
The enterprise system is programmed for monthly payouts... not weekly, which is what we've always been used to.
We wait until the 10th to run commissions to make sure any orders that need to be moved have been moved. Once commission has been run for a month, the system locks in all orders to whatever month they are in. In addition, waiting until the 10th allows time for cancellations and refunds to be taken into account.
Commissions and bonus are paid via ACH. So make sure your ACH is setup and correct.
Repeat the Importance of Checking Shipping Addresses
During your parties, you want to sound like a broken record when talking about the importance of accurate shipping addresses. Many customers are not double checking their entries and their orders are often undeliverable.

A Quote
Maya Angelou on how hard it is to make things look easy:
"I try to pull the language into such a sharpness that it jumps off the page. It must look easy, but it takes me forever to make it look easy. Of course, there are those critics who say, Well, Maya Angelou has a new book out. And of course it’s good, but then she’s a natural writer. Those are the ones I want to grab by the throat and wrestle to the floor because it takes me forever to get it to sing.
I work at the language."
Questions
In many cases, the bottleneck to achieving results is simply making the time to do the work.
- You're capable of exercising, but are you making the time?
- You're capable of reading, but are you making the time?
- You're capable of building a successful business, but are you making the time?"
Take the red pill… and I’ll show you how deep the rabbit hole goes.
