Hill Topper! Denise Hill Leads the Parade in March with $5,143 in Sales!
Denise Hill, from New York, was back at the tip of the spear in March with an impressive $5,143 in sales.
Denise is a former EE 1.0 consultant who started 2.0 in July 2020... the height of the pandemic. Initially, she struggled with low party after low party.
She says it's because she wasn't listening. After she started "Following the Path", she took off and hasn't looked back... selling thousands of dollars and making thousand of dollars from the comfort and safety of her own home.
Denise did 7 parties in March, which means she averaged about $734 per party. If you do the math, that equates to around $180 per hour. If you add in an hour for host coaching, it is still over $90 per hour.
You know the old saying, "You can make money, or make excuses, but you can't make both?" Denise was in a car accident in March. She was rear ended by a hit and run driver, which left her all jacked up and on pain killers and muscle relaxers. She had good reasons to reschedule her remaining parties to when she felt better, but she still managed to sit at her computer, do her parties and get to over $5,000 in sales.
A tip from the top. Denise books well, which is essential to maintaining a profitable business. She attributes her booking success to always getting dates for her bookings during the Party After the Party. She says it's much easier to get a date then. If you wait, it's much harder to get bookings, she says.
That's really good advice. So... as Donna Wright says, "rob and duplicate"!
Let's all congratulate Denise Hill for being like one of those Harriet Tubman stamps and sticking to it until the job is done!
Consultant On the Come Up: Chicqueta Britton-Nutt
Chicqueta Britton-Nutt, from New Jersey, got started in March and has definitely been making some noise "up in here".
Chicqueta did five parties in her first month... averaging about $700 per Zoom party.
She was a consultant in EE 1.0 as well, which she joined in 2006. So she knows that being able to knock out a $700 party without having to load up a car and leave her house is remarkable.
Chicqueta's Launch Party only generated one booking. But not to be denied, she took to the phones and booked the other five she needed.
She says the key to her success has been hostess coaching. She even steps in to do certain tasks that the hostess just won't do to insure the party is successful.
Beyond her passion for all things Black, Chicqueta's WHY is to do some renovating to her home, which she says was built in 1893. :-)))
Chicqueta also grabbed ahold of the first rung on the Career Ladder in March by qualifying as a new Advisor.
I don't know about you, but that's a pretty good month in my book. So, let's all congratulate Chicqueta for getting off to a strong start and just doing the dang thang!
Consultant On the Come Up: Theresa Wynn
Theresa Wynn is another EE 1.0 consultant (started in 2009) who jumped into EE 2.0 in March.
Theresa got started the way we recommend, which is with a Launch Party. And she was a good hostess too! She invited 40 guests to her Launch... which resulted in a Champagne Show that tipped the scales at $1,162.
All in all, Theresa did six Zoom Parties and one Virtual Party in her first month. Her Virtual Party went well too... weighing in at over $500 in sales.
Theresa's upline, Donna Wright, attributes Theresa's success to being coachable and always available for one-on-one training.
Theresa's WHY is that she just retired in January 2021. She attended an Open House and saw EE as a way to still have her freedom. She could work from home, set her own hours and earn extra income.
In addition to that, she also has a passion for what EE is all about. In fact, she calls her parties Black Culture Parties... and loves doing them for her sisters and brothers.
Theresa's new income stream came at the right time. Her son has a destination wedding coming up in the near future. Theresa's commission allowed her to pay off the trip balance and pay for her airline ticket as well.
Let's all congratulate Theresa for retiring, but not retiring from living her dreams!

Quarterly Book-a-thon
A special Book-a-thon is being held on Monday, April 12 from 7:00 to 8:00 PM. Its' purpose is to help you strengthen your calendar in the second quarter so you can make your business "do what it do".
There's a Book-a-thon Special that's on offer between Monday April 12th and May 23rd. It's called the Tee and Tote Special. Note: It can be offered outside of the Book-a-thon... as long as
the hostess meets the criteria.
Qualifiers can select a T-shirt ($29.99 or less) and a Tote Bag ($19.99 or less) in addition to the other Host rewards that we have. Obviously, that's a lot of swag for a $400 party with only one booking.
The criteria for using it is below.
- Parties must be held between Monday, April 12th and Sunday, May 23rd.
- Party sales must be $400 or more.
- Party sales do not include Party Specials, shipping, etc.
- The party must have at least one booking that holds.
- Once a host qualifies, email the Home Office with your host's name, shipping address, T-shirt selection/size, and Tote Bag selection.
- You will receive an invoice for $15.00. Once paid the order will ship out to your host.
- This special is for Hosts only... not for consultants.
Fyi, the cost to consultants for the special incentives is $15.00. That's necessary in order to have an attractive offering that helps you fill your calendar.
Computer System Stuff
Hostess Shipping Address
To make sure your hostess orders ship to the correct address, always enter their shipping address, and not just their billing address, before starting their order. To do that;
- Go to Hostess Manager which is under the Parties menu.
- Find their name and click the circle next to it.
- Click edit.
- Enter their shipping address.
Make Sure Your Hostess' Selections are In Stock
Currently, the enterprise system and Shopify don't communicate on stock levels.
This means it's possible to enter a hostess order for something that's out of stock. If that happens, nothing on the hostess order ships.
To avoid this, have your hostess check availability on the website before she lets you know what she wants. Then double check yourself before entering the order.
Strive for Accuracy When You or Your Hostess Enter Email Addresses in the Party Portal
Imagine having a great customer that loves the product, but their email address is in your database incorrectly. Strive for accuracy if you're entering email addresses, and stress accuracy if your hostess is.
A good way to do it is for the hostess to copy and paste email addresses from their email service address book. Then you (or the hostess) can copy and paste them into the Party invite list.
Commission Is Paid Once a Month on the 10th of the Following Month
The enterprise system is programmed for monthly payouts... not weekly, which is what we've always been used to.
We wait until the 10th to run commissions to make sure any orders that need to be moved have been moved. Once commission has been run for a month, the system locks all the order in to wherever they are.
In addition, waiting until the 10th allows time for cancellations and refunds to be taken into account.
Commissions and bonus are paid via ACH. So make sure your ACH is setup and correct.
Repeat the Importance of Checking Shipping Addresses
During your parties, you want to sound like a broken record when talking about the importance of accurate shipping addresses. Many customers are not double checking their entries and their orders are often undeliverable.

Thoughts, Prayers and Ubuntu
Please continue to pray for Gay Williams and her family. In addition to her mother, sister and brother, Gay also lost her husband Tony in February.
Please keep Chevelle Williams in your prayers. Chevelle lost her mother recently.
Please keep Tara Pinckney in your prayers. Tara's grandbaby, Cali Lyn Pierce, passed away shortly after being born in March.
Althea Caruth hasn't been feeling well and is in the hospital. Please keep her in your prayers.
Please stay safe and protect yourself. Our country lost 560,000 people in one year due to government incompetence, callousness and tomfoolery. As Mike Tyson says, "protect yourself in the ring at all times."
A Quote
Mary H. K. Choi on the importance of not waiting:
"Stop waiting and go for your dreams. It doesn't get any less scary. All that happens is you have less of your life left. It helps if you do your falling early... and it really helps if you do your reaching early."
A Question
You probably have a good idea of what a decent laptop would cost you?
But do you know how much not having one is costing you?
Take the red pill… and I’ll show you how deep the rabbit hole goes.
