Dear Stomach,
I know you’re stuffed with tasty holiday food.
But between you, me and the flat screen TV, I know you're also asking, “What’s that hunger I still feel?”
I think it’s a craving to...
- BE more successful.
- To DO bigger and more exciting things.
- To create financial security for ourselves... and perhaps financial freedom too.
- To make a POSITIVE IMPACT on those around us.
- To LAUGH, LOVE and LIVE our best life.
- To LEARN, SERVE and EARN on an entirely new level.
So, what will satisfy these cravings?
For that, we'll have to talk to our Heart...
Dear Heart,
I haven’t forgotten about what you want. I know all those passion projects and goals you’ve been holding onto.
I’ve heard you say things like, “Why not ME?" And, "That SHOULD be ME!”
And I agree with you. You're preaching to the choir!
But something’s keeping us from taking action.
We want to get moving. We want to make something happen.
But for some inexplicable reason we don't.
We just keep making excuses.
Instead of joining the parade, we continue to watch as it passes us by.
Why?
To understand that, we'll have to talk to our Brain...
Dear Brain,
Congratulations!
You’re winning.
You’ve succeeded in keeping me “safe”, “secure” and “comfortable.”
You're doing an excellent job helping me avoid failure.
But, here's the problem...
You're also helping me avoid success.
You see... I think I’m made for more.
I think I can go further.
I don't think I'm living my best life.
I think there’s something thrilling, life-changing, maybe even world-changing, waiting beyond the edge of that security blanket you’ve been keeping me under.
But this time...
I’ve got my eyes on the prize...
And I'm going for it!
But, don’t worry, Brain.
Don't be afraid.
I’m setting us up to succeed.
I’m going to task you with learning everything we need to know. I'm going to make us available to get the very best training.
Jim Rohn said, "We're the sum total of the five people we spend the most time associating with."
So, I'm also going to start associating us with the people who are going where we want to go, and doing what we want to do.
If we do that, we can move beyond what's comfortable with confidence.
Yes Brain... we're going to learn, practice, associate and apply.
Then we're going to "get into some trouble"... "good trouble"... "necessary trouble".
We're going to find our own voice... find our passion... and just do the dang thang.
Whatever the dang thang is.
And one day, we'll look back on this moment as the “needle-mover” that changed everything.
So that's it Brain.
That's the way it has to be...
And that's the way it's gonna be...
Because now is our time to make a ruckus.
Signed,
Me, Myself and I
