Hi ...
Are you looking forward to retirement one day?
Also known as… The Golden
Years?
It’s what many spend their adult lives working towards.
Get a job, work hard, climb the ladder, put money away…
Then enjoy a comfortable, fun-filled retirement.
It’s great when it works out.
But often it doesn’t.
That’s where former EE consultant, Melodie
Barnes from Las Vegas, found herself.
Melodie retired after years of working as a Teacher Licensing Analyst for the state of Nevada.
But retirement means living on a fixed income.
And as we all know, expenses aren’t fixed.
They’re always going up!
Recent increases in Melodie’s medical insurance are a perfect example.
It left Melodie strapped for cash.
And it left her with Golden Years that were turning out to be… not so golden.
So, Melodie was ecstatic when she heard that EE was coming back.
It was literally an answer to her
prayers.
She knew she needed to do something to make ends meet, but she wanted it to be something that she would love doing.
And EE was it.
So, she got started at the end of August.
But she didn’t get in EE just to socialize and play games.
She needed income.
And she needed it fast!
But first, there were a few challenges she had to overcome.
Challenge number one. Mel didn’t have any money. When we say any, we mean any. So, she had to come into the business without buying the actual Kit.
Luckily, you don’t need samples to do Zoom parties.
But… you do need a
laptop.
And that was challenge number two.
Not only did Melodie not have a laptop, she didn’t have the money to buy one.
Not even close.
But you know the kinds of friends that always have your back?
Actually, you may not… because they’re quite rare.
But Melodie did. And that friend bought her a laptop!
Wow!
So, all Mel had to do was practice her pre-built Zoom presentation and get her parties started.
As the time for her first party neared, Melodie said she was “shaking in her boots”. She was nervous about messing up.
To my eyes…. she looked as “cool as the other side of the
pillow”.
But, hey, that’s the old “duck trick”. Calm on the surface and paddling furiously underneath.
So, Melodie paddled furiously underneath, faced down her nervousness, and did her first party.
How’d it go?
Not bad for an hour long Zoom party.
Seventeen guests zoomed in.
She had $743 in sales!
And… she booked 6 parties!
Yowser!
The stat that meant the most though… was her commission.
Mel hasn’t been able to use her car because she couldn’t afford the $300 yearly registration fee.
But the commission from a one hour Zoom party was enough to pay half of the registration fee.
With her upcoming parties, we’re certain that she’ll be driving her car again... soon.
So… congratulations are most definitely in order.
Let’s all congratulate Melodie Barnes for getting in the game, pressing through the test, and putting Vegas on the EE map!
Then, once you've done that, go make your own ruckus.
See you at the top,
Brian
