Katherine Johnson Made a Ruckus

Hey...

I'm fairly certain you heard that Katherine Johnson passed away last week at the age of 102.

But I didn't want to miss giving honor to a woman who was making a ruckus long before any of us would know about it.

As you know, Katherine was the NASA mathematician whose life's story was told in the Oscar winning film Hidden Figures.

I also want to recommend the book, Hidden Figures, that gave rise to the movie.

The movie was great, but the book will give you even more depth and detail.

Once you read it it (or listen to it) you'll have a wealth of stories and examples to pass on to young people in your circle of influence.

The book is available in bookstores, on Amazon and also as an audio book on Audible.

You know that old saying, :if you want to hide something from a black person, hide it in a book."

Aren't you tired of hearing that?

As the man said, we are the change we seek.

So let's change it.

Read or listen to Hidden Figures.

Then, go make a ruckus.
