Remember boom boxes?
Â
Those radio/cassette players the size of suitcases? Â
Â
Don’t laugh. You probably have one in a closet somewhere. 😊
Â
Well, they're extinct now… and that’s probably a good thing.
Â
Ain’t nobody want to be hearin’ your boom box!
Â
The same goes for our younger generation that’s coming up today.
Â
They could really use
the benefit of your lived experience and life lessons.
Â
Your understanding of the importance of Black history and culture could change their lives.
Â
They just don’t realize it yet.
Â
They don’t want to hear how you walked 5 miles to school in the snow. Lol.
Â
So, what’s the solution?
Â
When the power goes out at night what do you do?
Â
You look for a candle.
Â
A candle in the dark is very valuable.
Â
So, be valuable. Â Be a candle to the people you love and care about.
Â
And how do you do that?
Â
That’s what our Black Folks Magic Culture Classes are all about.
Â
Their purpose is to equip you to be a guiding light to people within your circle of influence and concern.

Â
Join us this coming Saturday, at 7:00 PM EST for the December class.
Â
It will change you… so you can let your cultural light shine and change others.
Â
Or as, Amanda Gorman,
the young, gifted and Black inaugural poet, rightly said...
Â
There is always light,
if only we're brave enough to see it.
If only we're brave enough to be it.
Â
See you Saturday.
