Remember the church scene in The Color Purple... the one where Shug comes in singing, "Maybe God is Trying to Tell You Something"?

That's what I was wondering last night when the results of the runoff between Raphael Warnock and Herschel Walker were announced.

I was happy of course.

But I was also a bit shaken.

It was soooooooo close!

If the race were between two comparable candidates, I could understand. 

But the difference between Raphael Warnock (pastor of the famed Ebenezer Baptist Church) and Herschel Walker was so great that it was actually comical.

Yet, Warnock barely won.

What does that tell us?

What does it tell you?
