January 2022 Book-a-thon Email, Video Links and Phone Script

Hi ...

As discussed in our December monthly meeting, a special Book-a-thon is being held on Tuesday, January 4 from 7:00 to 8:00 PM.

Its' purpose is to help you get your business moving, shaking and breaking through in 2022.

If you're ready to start doing instead of dreaming, put your myriad of excuses/reasons on the shelf and show up at the book-a-thon with a solid list of people you want to call. Twenty-five former customers and hosts is a good goal to shoot for.

Below, you'll find the email you should be sending out on Saturday, January 1st. Feel free to edit it and massage it into what you want it to say. It includes YouTube links to my video and the Product Line Preview video.

The purpose of the email below is to make sure you're not making cold calls during the Book-a-thon. All you have to do is copy, paste and insert the appropriate name. Easy smeezy.

The reason you want to send it out on Sunday is folks will be in a more relaxed mode and will likely have more time to digest your email.

If you have cell numbers, you can also text a concise, streamlined version of the email as well. Text messages have much higher open rates.

Right below the suggested email, you'll find a simple script you can use when calling. Practice it a few times before using. You'll be familiar with it and better able to sound like yourself. (Your best self.)

Qualifiers can select one item from either the Monthly or Premium specials, and one item from the Hosts Only collection. These specials are in addition to free shopping credits and 50% off items. Obviously, that's a lot of swag for a $400 or $500 party with only one booking.

The criterion for using the specials is as follows:

Hosts Only Specials require at least $300 in sales. Hosts can shop from the collection for up to 90 days after their party, but bear in mind that some of the items in this collection are non-replenishable.
Monthly Host Specials require at least $400 in sales and at least one booking that holds.
Premium Specials require at least $500 in sales and at least one booking that holds.
Once a host qualifies, enter their selections in the shared Google document. Here's the link... Host Specials Google Doc
You will receive an invoice for the copayment. Once paid, the order will ship out to your host.

But the most important thing IS NOT the goodies. It's being a cultural ambassador for your friends and family. This is a chance to keep them connected to our history and culture... and you're the only one that can make that happen.

Hi ____

I sent you an email on Sunday to let you know I’d be reaching out to you today. Did you get a minute to look it over?

Okay, great! Well as I said in the email, we're running fantastic host specials for MLK Day and Black History Month.

EE already gives their hosts everything and the kitchen sink, but we're adding some special FREE gifts to the free shopping and half-price selections.

The other thing I mentioned in the email was the opportunity to be a cultural ambassador for your friends and family and keep Black culture in the front of their minds.

I’d love to partner with you to do that.

In January you have your choice of the following free gifts. (Go over the monthly and premium specials for January. Also mention the qualifying criterion.)

In February you have your choice of the following... (Go over the monthly and premium specials for February. Also mention the qualifying criterion.)

Based on the specials that's speaking your name the loudest, which month would you be interested in having your party.... January or February?

If you were to host a party in ______, which would work better… a weekday or a weekend?

Okay, if a weekend is best, which day do you prefer… Friday, Saturday or Sunday?

Okay, if we do a Saturday, I usually do parties at either 4:00 or 7:00. How does 7:00 on January 29th sound?

Great! I’ve got several other calls to make, but let’s do two things right quick.

First, let’s both go ahead and put that date and time in our phone calendars. If you’re like me, you’ll forget as soon as we get off the phone.

And second, let’s set up a time for a 20-minute chat, tomorrow or the next day, so we can put your party together right and make sure you get to your sales goal.

NOTE: If they DID NOT have a chance to read your email/text, send them the appropriate links (one at a time) while you're on the phone and talk them through it. For example, text the January specials and talk them through it. Then text the February specials and talk them through those. And so on.
